Modern Notebook for January 5, 2020

On the first Modern Notebook of 2020, it’s two hours of music featuring performances by the NOW Ensemble, unheard-of//Ensemble, The Nouveau Classical Project, and more. We’ll also hear music for guitar and percussion by Baljinder Sekhon, Unsuk Chin’s Violin Concerto, and a saxophone quartet by Anna Weesner.

- Hilary Hahn performs a work for violin and piano by Tina Davidson.
- Baljinder Sekhon‘s concerto for guitar and percussion orchestra, Musica Casera.
- Judd Greenstein performed by the NOW Ensemble.

- Solo piano music by Elliott Carter performed by Ursula Oppens.

- A movement from John Adams‘ Naive and Sentimental Music.
