Coming up on this week’s Modern Notebook, hear music by Paul Wiancko from the Bergamot Quartet’s latest release; pianist Vicky Chow performs music by Jane Antonia Cornish; and “The Dharma at Big Sur” by John Adams, which is meant to express the so-called “shock of recognition” when one reaches the edge of the continental land mass.

Featuring works by Narong Prangcharoen, Niloufar Nourbakhsh, Vivian Fung, Emily Koh, and others; and performances by Heare Ensemble, cellist Matt Haimovitz, Transient Canvas, Friction Quartet, and more.

Join Tyler Kline for the next Modern Notebook, Sunday night from 8 to 10 ET on Classical WSMR 89.1 and 103.9. Listen online from anywhere at wsmr.org.
