On the first Modern Notebook of 2021, tune in for solo viola music by Nokuthula Ngwenyama that evokes the imagery of the Sonoran Desert. Plus, a Mass by Luna Pearl Woolf from her latest album; pieces by Christopher Cerrone and Carolina Heredia; and a work titled Untouched by John Luther Adams.


Featuring performances by vibraphone soloist Cameron Denby, Lysander Piano Trio, The Choir of Trinity Wall Street, cellist Horacio Contreras, soprano Lindsay Kesselman with WildUp, and others; and music by Steve Denby, Esa Pekka-Salonen, Sofia Belimova, and Arlene Sierra.
