On Modern Notebook this week, Tyler Kline shares a pair of pieces for Independence Day inspired by the National Anthem: Jessie Montgomery’s “Banner,” and Kile Smith’s “The Dawn’s Early Light.” Plus, Tyler will be joined by pianist Ann DuHamel to discuss her project “Prayer’s for a Feverish Planet.”
