On Modern Notebook this week, Tyler Kline shares a brand new release from the group Latitude 49, with music by Sarah Kirkland Snider, along with music by Toru Takemitsu and Caroline Shaw. Plus, a concerto for Eighth Blackbird and Orchestra by Jennifer Higdon. Featured performers include the Attaca Quartet, guitarist Sharon Isbin, soprano Estelí Gomez with members of Yarn/Wire, and more.

- The third movement from György Ligeti’s Chamber Concerto.
- Five Songs by Andrew McIntosh, a work that features no text – the singer only sings vowel sounds.
- Takemitsu’s riverrun for piano and orchestra.
